I just realized that I have been reading other blogs with one eye open, and one eye shut. This may have something to do with me being up past 7.30 pm. Lately, I've been going to bed early and asleep by 8.30 pm. Some days I've been up before the birds start their morning chatter. I quite like watching the sun rise in the morning.
The fast release T3 seems to be making a positive difference and is helping me have a little more energy during the day and sleep well at night. It does seem to be making some of my chronic fatigue symptoms worse but day time fatigue has lessened a little. I'm very grateful that my doctor was happy to prescribe it for my thyroid disease. With walking and three good meals a day, the odd free weight session thrown in, I am slowly losing weight and strengthening my muscles.
Dinner tonight was a bit of an unmitigated disaster. The Head Gardener is considering banning me from all kitchen activities except cleaning. Mind you, last nights dinner of beans, vegetables and brown rice was edible and I had it for breakfast. I wouldn't go so far as to call it exciting but everyone had seconds. Perhaps I should just stick to simple vegetarian dishes? Tonight's chicken dish has had The Head Gardener complaining for the last two hours with quite a bit of glaring thrown in for good measure.
I'm drinking Madame Flavor chocolate orange oolong tea to perk myself up a little. I drank it a few days ago when I craved chocolate but wanted to avoid the shops. It certainly hits the spot and oolong is reputed to be good for teeth and healthy weight so this I get my chocolate hit with health benefits!
I did another hill walk today. I love to be able to go for a walk. I continue to struggle to go for a walk but I guess that is my not-so-new normal. There are days where a walk is simply out of the question and that's something I accept but still miss the change of scenery.
